Rocker Castle built in the XII century, was at first, centre of the royal authority in Terras de Miranda. Around 1224, Sancho II has donated the castle to the Hospitallers, who made here significant works, including the main tower and vaulted cistern that still remain today. From the end of the XIII century became a second line castle, being abandoned in the XVII century.
